The brief: To provide copywriting, editing and proofreading services on a retainer basis to ensure Mammoth’s written communication – via editorials, advertorials, press release and email campaigns – remain professional and consistent in line with the company’s brand.

The project: Working with Kris and the rest of the design and marketing team at Mammoth, I write, edit and proofread copy for a variety of end uses including trade press releases, brochures, flyers, email campaigns and blog posts.
Eden's Cafe - Whitley Bay
Helen has worked with us for a couple of years now, providing support with PR, in particular writing press releases and submitting them to the local press. Her ability to turn a limited brief into a catchy news story is excellent – she’s a very useful contact to have.

The project: I am part of the team at TwentyOne Leadership, providing proofreading and editing services to ensure a high standard of service from the company. Proposals, briefing documents and presentations are run past me before use to ensure a consistent standard of professionalism and detail.

The project: My task was to ensure the copy in the brochure flowed from one treatment to the next, maintaining the established tone of voice and checking for mistakes as I went.

The brief: To interview, collate, research and write blog posts, news articles and press releases on behalf of the Business Forum. The various items of written content must inform and engage their readers.
Working with: North Tyneside Business Forum
The project: I was initially taken on by the Business Forum to write a quarterly newsletter to be sent out to members. This involved liaising with Amy to establish likely subjects, interviewing the subjects, writing the articles and ensuring full approval before submission for design and publication. Since this initial project, I’ve been kept on by the Forum to produce regular blog posts, news articles and press releases.

Captured Forever
I brought Helen on board as the blog writer for my photography business. As my business grows I’m finding I need to outsource several elements and Helen slipped easily into the blog writing process. We sat down to discuss potential blog posts and Helen came back with a 12-month schedule, which eased my headache considerably. Now, every month, we have a brief conversation about the theme of the blog and she sends me something back, written from the vaguest of briefs, and I really enjoy reading what she comes up with. And the best thing is that she’s adopted my personal writing style so that her posts fit in beautifully with my old posts and any new ones I squeeze in when I have the time. Helen definitely keeps me on the blogging ball and my business blog fresh and up to date.

The brief: To provide a monthly blog post for the Captured Forever website, mirroring Tina’s established tone of voice. The blog posts must be entertaining, informative and engaging to attract new business and provide information for existing customers.

The project: An ongoing project, I work closely with Tina to plan, research and execute a relevant and entertaining annual blogging schedule. Tina had run out of inspiration for blog posts and was unable to find the time to produce high-quality blog posts herself. She brought me on board to take the worry and time commitment out of maintaining a business blog.
